Ultimo treno regolare di FO e' transitato sulla linea di valico il 11.10.1981, l'anno successivo e' stata inaugurata la galleria di base. La linea di valico e' stata riaperta al traffico passeggeri da DFB, come linea museo a vapore,  da Realp a Tiefenbach nel 1992; da Tiefenbach a Furka nel 1993; da Furka a Gletsch nel 2000; da Gletsch a Oberwal nel 2010; nel 2000 ripristinato il raccordo a Realp tra DFB e FO (MGB).

Venerdi' 20 Agosto 2010, dopo l'inaugurazione ufficiale del week end precedente, e' iniziato il servizio regolare sul tratto da Gletsch a Oberwald - tutte le foto sono del 20 & 21 Agosto 2010.
