Sopra: Muttbach-Belvedere -  per i treni a vapore in direzione Muttbach / tunnel / Furka è previsto un servizio di spinta con diesel per ragioni di sicurezza per la lunghezza della galleria che raggiunge il culmine della salita ( in aderenza naturale ) a circa 2/3 della lunghezza. Al 2019 il tunnel è l'unico tratto di linea protetto da segnali luminosi.
